WHAT BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE DO I NEED FOR THIS COURSE?

The course material can be followed by anyone an interested in the ocean and a high-school level of understanding of science. You do not need any prior knowledge in the topics.

ARE THERE COURSE FEES? WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE PART IN THE COURSE?

The course is run free of charge for people wishing to audit it i.e. to watch the videos and learn on their own. All course material is presented under a creative commons license, and can be used for teaching or other purposes. For learners wishing to obtain a course certificate, a fee of 49 USD will be charged. For a certificate you will need to score the minimum in a mid-term and final course examination that is online within the course.
All you need is an internet connection and the enthusiasm to learn!
